Capabilities & workflow

From the first check to a correction you can trust.

DATAshaper runs data quality as one loop. Issues are found by your rules, resolved by the people who know the data, and staged before anything is loaded. Your source systems stay untouched.

Eight steps, every cycle.

The same loop for every dataset, so quality work becomes routine instead of a project.

  1. Monitor

Scheduled, recurring checks run against your datasets and track quality scores and trends.

  2. Detect

The rules you configure identify every record with a quality issue.

  3. Assign

Each issue goes to the functional or business owner who can resolve it.

  4. Collaborate

People investigate, comment and edit, and every issue carries a status.

  5. Correct

Owners correct values by hand or start from an AI-suggested value. You decide how much approval each correction needs.

  6. Stage

Approved corrections are prepared in a separate staging table.

  7. Load

A separate loading process or approved integration moves staged changes into the target, following your process.

  8. Improve

The next check runs and the trend shows whether quality holds.

Corrections are staged, never written straight into your ERP.

DATAshaper keeps source, staging and target apart. Approved corrections wait in a separate staging table, and the original record in your source system is left as it is.

Your own loading process, or an integration you approve, moves the staged changes into the target system, on your schedule and under your change control.

Capabilities along the way.

  • Configurable rules

Rules express what good data means for your business, per dataset, entity or domain.

  • Recurring checks

Checks run on a schedule, so quality is measured continuously rather than once.

  • Scores and trends

Quality scores overall and per dataset, entity or domain, with dashboards that show the trend.

  • Issue visibility

See which issues are open, resolved or assigned, and to whom.

  • Work in DATAshaper Studio

Business users edit, comment and update statuses in one place, without spreadsheets passed around.

  • Approval or controlled automation

Set how much human approval a correction needs, up to controlled automatic application where you trust it.

See it in the product.

Real, sanitised screenshots of each step will be added before launch. Until then, a demo shows the real thing.

Questions about the workflow.

Does DATAshaper change records in SAP directly?

No. Approved corrections are prepared in separate staging tables. Your own loading process or an approved integration moves them into the target system.

Who decides what gets corrected?

The business owner of each issue. You configure how much approval a correction needs, from review of every change to controlled automatic application where you trust it.

Do we need to define rules before we start?

Yes. Today, issues are found through the rules you configure. AI that explores datasets to find problems without rules is in development and not part of the current product.

Which systems does it work with?

DATAshaper is proven in SAP and Microsoft Dynamics programs. Tell us about your landscape and we will tell you honestly what fits, rather than hand you a generic connector list.
